After attending a meeting of animal rights activists, Celeste decides to help the group rescue some kittens from a local medical research facility. This means breaking and entering, and Danny is furious that she will be breaking the law, even if it is for a noble reason. The situation goes from bad to worse when Danny discovers that the activists' ringleader, Peter Logan, is under Federal investigation for animal smuggling. That investigation takes a strange turn when Peter is mysteriously killed-while Celeste is talking to him on the phone. Now Celeste is a suspect in the police's murder investigation, and it's up to Danny, Barbara, and the kids to find a turtle ... and a killer.
